Barbara Kruger

Published on the occasion of the exhibition Barbara Kruger: Pre-Digital 1980-1992, this catalogue includes 44 color plates of Kruger’s works created before the widespread use of digital imagery. From her experience as an editorial designer, Kruger’s “paste-ups” construct messages using a commercial technique, focusing attention on how images and words have the power to make meaning – to construct who we are and who we want to be.
